The University Archives and Southern Minnesota Historical Center has significant genealogy resources and provides year-round assistance in helping answer your questions. Whether you have a general interest in genealogy or already have completed significant research and are looking to find missing connections in your family's past, we have resources that may assist in your investigations. Our collections primarily support Minnesota focused genealogy research.
In addition, the University Archives and Southern Minnesota Historical Center co-organizes the South Central Minnesota Genealogy Expo held annually at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Expo provides the public an opportunity to attend sessions on how to conduct genealogy research and learn what resources and services are available in area research facilities.
